The night club was something that stood still during normal business hours, but once the sun went down the people flocked to the door hoping for a chance to make their way into the building that felt as though it were shaking from the bass coming from inside. There were girls dressed in skin tight dresses in every shade found in the rainbow, and guys dressed as though they were hopeful of taking one of the rainbow girls home but that cloud of overpowering cologne wafting to Anniese from where she was walking about ten feet from them told her otherwise. The old blonde vampire loved nights when she saw the line going down the block, that meant that there would be plenty of business, and plenty of hopeless humans willing to walk away with her and never to be missed. It was cruel, but it was the truth and it didn’t phase Anniese. She wasn’t one to kill without reason, but if there were ever a struggle from someone she chose to feed on they’d end up dead in a dumpster on the other side of town.
Her feet clad in a pair of thick black three inch pumps seemed to fall into step with the beat coming from inside. Anniese watched the people in line as she passed them and didn’t bother to give any a second look, but she noticed that not all were human which wasn’t unusual. Some were vampires with their human pets on their arms, and a few werewolves that were easier for her to spot because those were the ones she chose to actively avoid. There were also a few fey, pixies or faeries, she could never tell the difference but they weren’t always high up on her friend list. She had a few regular ‘customers’, for lack of a better term, that she’d grown to tolerate for purely the reason of the profit she was accumulating with their presence but they weren’t creatures that she actively sought out with to fraternize with but they were more acceptable than the wolves, they were never apart of Anniese’s personal clientele.
The blonde walked to the front of the line, her chest length hair had been left to fall loosely down her shoulders in polished waves. The cornflower locks contrasted greatly against the black leather jacket that fit snuggly against her body and only was long enough to cover her chest before it was cut off to expose the tightly fitted tube dress that was a shade that could have been considered fire-engine red and paired almost identically to the shade her lips were pained that night. Her green eyes looked bright and vivid against the smokey colors her eyes were surrounded with, and they smiled at the bouncer at the door who let her in without a second glance. Anniese and her girls were known quite well among these parts, and with that came a sort of privilege to some extent in certain places not to mention the vampire men that guarded her and her girls.
Anniese Katherine Tremaine had been in this business a lot longer than most of the girls that worked for her had even been alive, and in her opinion she was damn good at it too. Most of the time she was all business with the men that hired her for her services, fitting into the role in both attire and the personalities they craved for which left her a mystery to an extent. This business didn’t really allow for people to see her as she really was, and if she really stopped to think about it she wasn’t entirely positive who that was anymore. But hey, the money was good and that was really all she needed, at least for now and tonight was a night that she had high hopes for after seeing the crowd outside and was solidified once she saw how packed the inside was.
Weaseling her way swiftly through the crowd of bodies she dropped her coat off at the coat check and handed the small meek looking girl with mousey brown hair a ten dollar bill from her dress as a tip and replaced the money with the slip of paper to reclaim it later. “I need a drink…”She spoke quietly to herself, the first drink of the night was always necessary to kick off her night and with that she moved to a bar on the main floor of the club where the tender behind it was a tall and muscular guy with an arm covered with black ink in a design that she had no desire to try and decipher. He was attractive though and human, but Anniese could never deny someone like him having a beautiful face. She leaned up against the bar, resting both elbows on the cool countertop and a smirk quickly found it’s way to her lips. “I’m surprised you don’t have my drink waiting by now.” She teased the bartender who smirked and shook his head and after a mere moment handed her the sleek shaped glass. "Touche." Anniese couldn’t help but lick her lips. She had not been smart that night, not having fed before she went anywhere. Pouting to herself she turned her back to him, sat herself up on a barstool and after crossing her legs to took a quick sip of her drink. Bring on the night…Anniese thought to herself and sighed.
